Thresher Shark 130kg - Cape May, NJ

Off the Stargazer, I heard there was a 250+ thresher caught at the misty blue today.

Actually I got a call from Clark around 7pm reporting that our friend Issac and his mate Larry landed one of the nicest thresher sharks boated this year. (Issac's first), and now I have the steaks to show for it.
Although it took me 1 hour and 10 mins to get to the shore (w/o dinner), I was there in time to receive 2 hunks of fillet.

Congratulations to what may be one of the last threshers caught this year.

here is the proof. I took the shark fin as well. but not the head.... I didn't have enough guts.

Yumeya Extra Long Handle Conversion // Stella 20k SWPG

Hi all.

Got to install my new Yumeya Extra Long handle for my Stella 20ksw yesterday. I had some help from Kilsong at his shop yesterday.
out the box and on the reel...
I had some help with taking the caps off and extracting the bearings...

Here it is:

Comparison with the 10000sw model:

Attached the long arm to the stella and presto!

And on a rod:

DONE!

It is argueably longer. On Shimano's Yumeya site it says in Japanese "to give more comfort in jigging". The length is 85mm or 1cm longer than the stock model.

Kilsong's Jigging World - JignPop by Kilsong

So I made the trip up to Kilsong's shop in north Jersey.

Waking up at 9am to pick up Jie, we drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to his "office"
He mentioned to me on the phone the days before that "I dont' have that much stuff" in my shop. haha, this is like a playground!

I had asked for some help installing my new Yumeya Extra Long handle for Stella 20000 SW. Kilsong really took the time to see that it fit correctly.

Tuna max belt as a gift. What a genuinely nice guy. I really feel that he has an objective view on jigging products and doesn't "sell" any particular one.

Jie also got into the action with the Jigging Master Powerspell 500g rod...HAHA
Out of all the rod's that we tested, this 500g rod impressed me the most.

Anyhow, the day ended with a visit to Mitsuwa, and some chicken gyudon...

Anyhow, enjoy the rest of the pictures of the "stuff" i got....kakakaka
